All scientific research and technology development activities are overseen by a structured Scientific Directorate, which is responsible for initiating and supervising new research projects, coordinating activities across both internal and external laboratories, and conducting rigorous safety and quality controls on raw materials and finished products. 

Sucrosomial® Technology, a patent developed by PharmaNutra, enables the transport of micronutrients within a matrix of phospholipids and sucrose esters, ensuring superior tolerability and absorption in the body. This advanced delivery system not only protects essential nutrients like minerals, vitamins and plant extracts but also transports them to the intestine intact, where absorption takes place. The structure of the Sucrosome® is the real breakthrough

This three-layer protection, consisting of phospholipids and sucrose esters, encases the molecule, allowing it to pass through the gastric environment without interacting with acidic substances or mucous membranes. Once it reaches the intestine, the Sucrosome® binds to M cells, which transport it into the bloodstream, where the molecule is released and absorbed efficiently.

Sucrosomial® Technology, initially developed to address iron deficiency, has since been successfully applied to a range of essential minerals and vitamins, including iron, magnesium, zinc, selenium, iodine, calcium, chromium, vitamin D3 and vitamin B12.

A patented blend of plant-based fatty acids and cetyl alcohol, developed to improve joint function and movement capacity. Cetylated Fatty Acids in oral formulations: supporting joint physiology

In 2022, PharmaNutra's research led to the patent for Lipocet®, an innovative food supplement based on a blend of Cetylated Fatty Acids (CFAs). The classification of CFAs as Novel Food marks a significant milestone in the development of new oral solutions, expanding beyond topical applications to support muscle and joint well-being.
